My husband and I had around 4/5 dance lessons with Jackie in preparation for our wedding, so that we could surprise our guests with more than a shuffle for our first dance. Having never done anything like this before we didn’t know where to start, Jackie was a fantastic teacher she planned a routine immediately and altered it to our needs lesson per lesson. She made us feel very at ease during the awkward stages and recorded our sessions so that we could practice at home. I would highly recommend Jackie to anyone that wants to learn more about dance. It was one of our favourite parts in the run up the wedding during the final weeks of the wedding planning and an amazing part of our wedding! Would 100% do it all again.

With our wedding day a matter of months away, we were fearful of embarrassing ourselves in front of our friends and family when it came to strutting ourselves across the dance floor for the obligatory first dance. But we made the wise decision of booking lessons with Jackie, who helped us craft a custom dance to our choice of song – Dreams by The Cranberries. While Thara had enjoyed some social dancing in her early twenties, Matt’s dance experience amounted to pointy fingers and “big fish, little fish, cardboard box” from Bob the Builder. But by the end of it, we were both confidently mastering our dance routine. The lessons were fun, tailored by Jackie to our level and gave us plenty of time to practice and hone the routine. Jackie was also flexible to with our schedule. We would gladly recommend Jackie to others who want to make their wedding dance a little more special!
